ESL Insights
- ESL site
provides various resources to support teachers and
pedagogical consultants in implementing the
Elementary and Secondary ESL Programs.
To help teachers get
started while awaiting approved material,
the MELS has provided Learning and
Evaluation Situations (LES). They will help
visualize how to work the program with the
little ones, using authentic songs and,
speaking English only from day one.

I've modified
the song. I took
the beat from
Jake Coco's
''Bleu for You''
song (check it
out at
YouTube).
Since I play
guitar and sing,
I show them the
gestures (strech
in the morning,
eat their lunch,
strech and yawn
to go to bed)
and keywords
(good morning,
good afternoon,
good night)
before we
practice. They
have lots of fun
and found it
funny. That
wasn't the goal,
but I'm a happy
camper.
