BOARD OF DIRECTORS


SPEAQ is administered by a Board of Directors of seven (7) members.

The role of the Board of Directors is to:

a) recommend and make policy for all activities of the Association;

b) administer the finances of the Association;

c) accept in the name of the Association all contracts and obligations necessary to the proper functioning of the Association and its committees;

d) employ or discharge personnel when it sees fit, and fix terms of employment;

e) e) establish and determine the mandate of standing and ad hoc committees;

f) establish and oversee the activities of Special Interest Groups;

g) be responsible to the Association and present to the membership a report of its activities at the Annual General Meeting.

Elections:

Nomination forms for the Board of Directors are available in the Preliminary Program and individually. Alternately, from year to year, the terms of 3 or 4 members of the board are up for election for a 2 year period.
